Digital Matter has appointed Internet of Things (IoT) industry veteran Loïc Barancourt as its new chief executive officer.
Barancourt brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience in IoT, telecommunications, and enterprise technology to the asset tracking solutions provider.
Most recently, he served as group chief commercial officer at UnaBiz, where he led international growth initiatives.
Prior to that role, Barancourt founded and led Thinxtra, an IoT business in the Asia-Pacific region, from its inception.
His career also includes sales leadership positions at NetComm Wireless and Sagemcom.
Company founder Ken Everett said Barancourt's leadership experience and deep industry knowledge make him the perfect fit to lead Digital Matter into the future.
"His commercial acumen, technical background, and track record of scaling high-growth businesses align perfectly with our vision.," he said.
"With Loic at the helm, I'm excited to dedicate my time to driving innovation and expanding our product portfolio to best serve our customers."
The leadership transition will enable Everett to focus full-time on driving innovation across the company's IoT asset tracking solutions.
Barancourt said he was familiar with Digital Matter's products, having previously been a reseller of their tracking devices to enterprise customers.
"Digital Matter has built an incredible reputation for delivering best-in-class IoT asset tracking solutions," he said.
"I have seen firsthand the quality, reliability, and innovation that set them apart."
