Distributor Synnex has named national commercial sales manager Ahmmad T Issa as its new general manager for commercial sales.
Speaking exclusively to CRN, Issa said the new role means he has gained expanded executive responsibilities and will also consider new opportunities for Synnex. Cross-selling is very much on his mind.
“[The new role] doesn’t change my drive as I’ve always been passionate about the IT industry and I’m fortunate enough that I’m in a position to continue to excel and help our channel partners and vendors,” Issa said.
Issa added that Synnex continues to seek new talent, and to upskill its existing staff.
CRN has contacted Synnex for further comment on the reasons for the change.
Issa joined Synnex in 2011 as national IBM business development manager. His previous roles include NSW HP business development manager for Dicker Data and NSW IBM business development manager for mobile accessories distie Cellnet.
