Synnex has signed a new agency deal with LG Electronics as the distributor strives to be number one LCD display supplier.
Frank Sheu, managing director at Synnex Australia, said the distributor and box-builder wanted to take number one spot in LCD displays.
Synnex was distributing LG's range of display, optical and notebook products.
Sheu said LG had been the most “rigorous” competitor to the Lite-on optical brand.
LG was expected to add another $25 million to $30 million to Synnex's sales this year, Sheu said.
LG Electronics also recently signed with Melbourne-based distributor Altech Computer.
Synnex Australia most recently made headlines late last year with a plan to build its first automated warehousing facility in Melbourne.
