ASX listed secure data collaboration company IXUP has announced a multi-year agreement with the Western Australian Biodiversity Science Institute (WABSI).
The deal will see IXUP's Secure Data Engine technology deployed in conjunction with Microsoft Azure for the Shared Environmental Analytics Facility (SEAF) project.
The SEAF project, developed by WABSI and the Western Australian Marine Science Institution, aims to streamline environmental assessment processes by enabling secure, collaborative analytics on shared environmental data from multiple stakeholders.
An initial deployment will focus on two key regions in Western Australia, namely the Pilbara and Cockburn Sound.
"This marks an important step forward for our company and the validation of our secure data engine technology."
"We look forward to demonstrating success on the SEAF project, which we expect will highlight the clear commercial value of our technology," IXUP chief executive Al Watson said.
The two-year contract guarantees IXUP a minimum revenue of A$240,000, representing the company's first high-margin license fee revenue for its secure data engine technology.
While this initial deployment is limited in scope, a successful implementation could lead to broader expansion and increased revenue opportunities for IXUP.
The project is done with partners, including Microsoft, Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, and the Western Australian Government.
