Former AFL premiership player and Sydney Swan hall of fame inductee Paul Williams is now talking-up the benefits of managed print services at CSG.
The former Swans player, honoured by being picked for the Sydney Swans hall of fame last year, has taken up a role as CSG's regional general manager, Victoria.
Williams took the field for 117 games for the Sydney team from 2001 to 2006, scoring 84 goals and was a member of the 2005 premiership winning team. He also played for Collingwood from 1991 to 2000.
The Sydney Swans Hall of Fame website points out Williams "creativity, pace and football nouse" which "gave the Swans an extra edge around the packs…" The Swans website has a highlight reel of Williams in action.
He retired from playing in 2006 and has since taken on coaching roles in the AFL, including coach of the Western Bulldogs.
Williams said he had been ready for a career change after football.
"There's no doubt that this is a massive career change for me. But after 24 years in the AFL, it's been great to find an opportunity where I can bring my skills of motivating people, changing culture, and helping an organisation achieve their utmost," he said in a statement.
CSG isn't the only one with an elite sports player on its team. Telecommunications company Megaport recently announced it had hired triple Olympian swimmer Libby Trickett as its national channel and partner manager.
