Sydney reseller promoted to distie for AV vendor

North American audio-visual vendor Epiphan Systems has signed AP Technologies as its first distributor in Australia and New Zealand.

AP Technologies already has experience with Epiphan products as its ANZ reseller, but the new agreement sees it shift its role in the channel.

"Working with Epiphan in a distributor role allows us to help define the strategy for ANZ and grow the AV market," said Andrew Paton, managing director of AP Technologies. "We're excited to expand our role with the Epiphan team."

Paton said that the AV technology sector – which includes display capture, streaming, broadcasting and recording – has seen growth and appeals to particular business verticals.

"Our resellers and their end customers – particularly in the education, government and healthcare verticals – recognise the benefits of this important technology."

Epiphan Systems is a specialist in AV hardware that "capture, synchronise, encode, record, stream and process multiple types of audio video events". The vendor is based in California and Ottawa, Canada and sells through the channel and to OEMS.

AP Technologies distributes to Apple and Windows resellers in Australia out of Frenchs Forest in northern Sydney. The company said it's an official distributor to Apple Australia, providing products for Apple's online and retail outlets, in addition to Apple resellers.
