Sydney network integrator Matrix CNI named Aruba ANZ partner of the year

Networking vendor Aruba, part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, has named Sydney network integrator Matrix CNI as its ANZ partner of the year at the vendor’s 2016 Channel Partner Awards during its Atmosphere ANZ Conference on the Gold Coast.

The vendor awarded seven partners across eight categories, with Matrix CNI also picking up the ClearPass partner of the year gong.

The other winners included WA IT consultant Vizstone, which was named digital workspace solution partner of the year, Victorian MSP Honeylight, claiming the education partner of the year title, and east-coast wifi specialists Netwireless, which took home the retail partner of the year award.

Dimension Data was Aruba's healthcare partner of the year, while NSW-based Accucom received the technical excellence award and Brisbane-headquartered Data#3 received the best partner initiative award.

David Elliot, channel sales director of Aruba ANZ, said it was a thrill to celebrate the company’s partner ecosystem.

“As a channel-first organisation, our partners and resellers are the backbone of our business and tonight we are honoured to celebrate their achievements,” he said.

Matrix CNI managing director Deni Saupin said his team was honoured to be named partner of the year.

“Our sales and engineering staff spend countless hours training to ensure we can deliver the best services to our customers, so this award is a testament to our team’s capabilities,” he said.

Saupin launched Matrix in 2003 with his brothers Jacques and Gilbert, with the goal of revolutionising network integration in Australia.

Aruba’s Elliot said the vendor had seen a year of “phenomenal growth and development” and was observing a positive response from its partner community.

“With the recent release of our Mobile First Platform and Network-as-a-Service offerings, as a business, we continue to innovate to ensure our partners can arm their customers with mobile-first technology to support the digital workplace,” he said.
