Field services and project management specialist Best IT Engineering has rebranded as Best Technology Services to better reflect its work in the wider technology space.
The Sydney-based company, established in 2002, provides white-labelled services to managed services providers and resellers ranging from wi-fi networks, IP-based security, POS systems and multimedia installations.
A team of 300 field technician help manage installs, repair and device management on behalf of partners.
Managing director John Mcvicker told CRN the change better reflected the increasing demand for internet of things solutions off the back of faster internet and the NBN.
"With the popularity of internet of things and machine-to-machine communication, there's a massive journey ahead. We don't know where it's going to end up but we're just at the start of it in terms of the size and speed of technology," Said Mcvickers.
"We view it as a massive opportunity because there needs to be someone to install these large-scale systems."
To further shore up its 100-percent channel business, Best has hired Sue Seery as its channel manager. Mcvicker said Seery will be Best's link to the channel and showed a major commitment to partners.
Before joining Best in April, Seery was partner manager for Autodesk for nearly five years.
Best has approximately 50 reseller partners, such as Astron Technology and Mandoe Media, and works with a wide range of vendors.
