Sydney distributor Sapply creates internet of things division with Maestro Wireless partnership

Sydney-based distributor Sapply has established an internet of things division after landing machine-to-machine specialist Maestro Wireless as a partner.

Maestro, along with its Falcom range of products, is Sapply's second IT vendor after partnering with US-based Digi International in 2015.

“Having successfully partnered with Digi International two years ago, [we] have been experiencing increasing demand to be able to provide a broader range of solutions that meet a wider variety of usage situations,” the distributor said.

With the new division in tow, Sapply is looking to further expand its IoT portfolio by engaging with manufacturers of other accessories such as antennas.

“We are excited to invest in this growing market,” said Sapply sales director Gordon Taylor. “Our experience to date has strongly reinforced the need for value added distribution in IoT.”

“Whilst it’s a different market to our established enterprise solutions, the skills we have used to build our partner enterprise brands are exactly what we need to use in this new and exciting market,” he added.

Maestro's IoT and M2M applications cover industrial automation, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), utilities and transportation. The Hong Kong-based vendor acquired German M2M and IoT specialist Falcom GmbH in 2014.
