Sybase and Peacock partner for mobile RFID

Located in Melbourne, Peacock Bros has been involved with RFID since the technology’s debut 12 years ago.

Peacock Bros selected Sybase RFID Anywhere as the base for its RFID application of its wireless LANs and batch or real-time wide-area-mobility solutions. The suite supports multi-vendor mobile devices, integrates with ERP systems through SOA and standards-based implementation and allows enterprises to manage their mobile devices centrally with a web-based architecture.

Neil Crump, managing director of Peacock Bros said the solution capabilities such as flexible development of custom business modules, XML reporting and location mapping as well as asset tracking from a range of technologies and collection points.

“After evaluating several solutions, we found RFID Anywhere provided us with the out of-the-box functionality and flexibility to extend the data capture solution,” said Crump.

Peacock has offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland.
