Schneider nabs 12-year IBM Australia veteran
Francois Vazille

Former 12-year veteran of IBM Australia Francois Vazille will take up a key role at power management vendor Schneider Electric.

Vazille was a member of IBM ANZ's senior executive team until late last year, with the role of vice president of sales, enterprise and government.

He also held other senior roles at IBM prior to that, across small and medium business and storage.

This included general manager systems and technology group, as well as director of IBM's technology and system Telstra account.

He takes up the role of vice president for Schneider Electric IT in the Pacific, which CRN understands includes responsibility for growth and revenue.

Meanwhile, a member of Schneider's Australian operation has been tapped for a senior global channel role within the company.

Paul Tyrer, who Vazille replaces, will take up a new role as vice president of strategy, channels and alliances in Schneider Electric’s IT Business global sales division.

Correction: this article originally stated that Francois Vazille worked at IBM for 14 years. This information was supplied by Schneider Electric and was incorrect. The article has been corrected.
