Resellers Extend Technologies and Avantis Information Systems have formed a strategic alliance to offer end-users their combined specialties of SAP ERP and SAP BusinessObjects.
Extend Technologies managing director Max White said combined the businesses "will be one of the largest SAP business intelligence teams in Australia".
"Our combined business intelligence teams total nearly 50 staff covering every area of SAP business intelligence in great depth."
A spokesperson for Extend told CRN that the two companies are currently working together on a project in Melbourne where Avantis, which is providing BusinessObjects, "has utilised Extend to do the ERP side".
The spokesperson confirmed the two companies would continue to operate as separate entities.
The joint delivery is "seamless" for the end-user, the spokesperson added.
Helen Masters, general manager of fast growth markets at SAP ANZ, said SAP is "very supportive of the alliance".
She described the arrangement as "the next frontier as our channel embrace complementary skill sets to build strength and competitive positioning", she said.
