Sanity LoadIT, which runs on Windows Media Player 11, is an online music subscription service where customers can by more than a million music tracks.
Users can register, create their own account and download paid-for songs, which they can then listen to on their PCs or MP3 players.
Sanity partnered with ubeeTech, a Melbourne-based provider of digital solutions and media applications to develop LoadIT.
After evaluating various CMS solutions, ubeeTech selected Sitecore’s Web CMS for its flexibility and easy-to-use application interface.
ubeeTech leveraged Sitecore’s open architecture to customise the solution and its multi-language support to allow multiple languages.
“With Sitecore’s technology and ubeeTech’s technological and business expertise, we were able to develop Sanity LoadIT, a rich, vibrant and easy-to-use service that makes online music accessible for the masses and reflects the excitement of our stores,” said Ray Itaoui, CEO of Sanity Entertainment.
“The service gives consumers freedom and choice because it lets users listen to vast amounts of music across many different personal music players, not just on the one brand.
“We are able to provide a fast and user-friendly online experience coupled with extremely efficient search capabilities.”
Philipp Heltewig, general manager for Sitecore Australia said ubeeTech ‘illustrates the strength of Sitecore’s growing partner network and the flexibility of the Sitecore product’.
“With Sitecore’s technology, Sanity was able to quickly and more easily develop LoadIT, which met their customer’s existing expectations, and take the success they had from their retail stores to a potentially much larger community online,” he said.
“This project demonstrates both the booming interest in Sitecore in the Australian region, but also how any business can successfully transition to the online marketplace,” he added.
