Samsung has updated its Ativ line with a trio of PCs and a pair of Windows 8 tablets - one of which also runs Android.
The new additions include two Windows 8 tablets, the Ativ Tab 3 and the Ativ Q - which also runs Android to expand app availability.
The Ativ Q hybrid runs Windows 8 on an Intel Core i5 processor, but also features Android 4.2.2, allowing users to access more apps. Files can be shared seamlessly between the two OSes, too.
The Ativ Q can be used as a tablet, laptop or an all-in-one style desktop, and features a 13.3in, 3,200 x 1,800 display. It's 13.9mm thick and weighs 1.3kg, comes with a 128GB SSD, micro SD slot, USB 3 and USB 2 ports, and promises nine hours of battery life.
Samsung said the Ativ Tab 3 is the world's thinnest tablet, at 8.2mm thick. It features a 10in, 1,366 x 768 display, and also runs Windows 8, but uses an Atom chip and comes with 64GB storage space. It weighs only 550g, features a single USB 2 port, as well as microSD and micro-HDMI.
Samsung also revealed a trio of Windows 8 PCs, including a pair of laptops and a desktop.
The Ativ Book 9 Plus features an aluminium, unibody design and 3,200 x 1,800 touchscreen for using Windows 8, and Samsung promises 12 hours of battery life. It runs either an Intel Core i5 or i7 with Intel's HD Graphics 4400, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB SSD. It weighs 1.39kg and comes with two USB 3 ports.
The Ativ Book Lite is also a 13.3in device, but its display resolution is 1,366 x 768 and the touchscreen is optional. It runs a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, and offers up to 256GB SSD storage. Samsung promises 8.5 hours of battery life. It weighs in at 1.44kg and features a USB 2 and USB 3 port, micro-HDMI and three-in-one card reader.
The Ativ One 5 Style is an all-in-one desktop PC with a 21.5in, 1,920 x 1,080 touchscreen display. It runs an AMD A6 quad-core processor with 4GB RAM and includes storage up to 1TB.
All three will be available later this year, but Samsung didn't reveal dates or pricing.
The tablets and PCs all feature Samsung's SideSync system, making it easier to share data across the Ativ devices and Galaxy smartphones.
Galaxy NX Camera
Samsung announced the Galaxy NX, an Android camera with 4G support and interchangeable lenses, such as zoom, pancake and ultra-wide fish-eye options - and even one that takes 3D images and video.
By running Android Jelly Bean, the Galaxy NX means you can edit and share photos directly from the device. The Galaxy NX features a 20.3-megapixel APS-C Sensor and 1/6,000 shutter speed, and runs a 1.6GHz quad-core processor. It will be available in the UK this summer.
