Rubrik launches Agent Cloud for Claude governance and recovery

Rubrik has launched Rubrik Agent Cloud for Anthropic’s Claude Code and Claude Cowork, a set of controls aimed at letting enterprises deploy Claude-powered coding agents at scale while retaining the ability to see, govern, undo and recover what those agents do.

A Semantic AI Governance Engine, which Rubrik claims is the industry’s first AI governance engine, is designed to govern autonomous agents in real time based on intent rather than static rules.

An Agent Inventory gives visibility into the risk, access permissions and policy violations of deployed agents, while Agent Rewind can reverse unintended actions taken by agents, including those built in Claude Code and Cowork.

A codebase-resilience layer keeps continuous, immutable snapshots of GitHub and Azure DevOps repositories stored outside the repository - beyond the reach of compromised credentials - so an organisation can restore a known-good state with one-click recovery, even after an agent or attacker force-pushes over commit history or deletes every branch.

Rubrik also added a resilience layer for the Claude agents themselves, backing up and restoring the configuration that governs how they behave - system prompts, tool permissions, skills and key files - across organisation, repository and user levels, while monitoring for configuration drift and flagging changes that look malicious before they spread.
