Apple has killed off its curvy iPhone 3GS to make way for its new iPhone 5.
The 3GS has lost its spot in the company's line-up of iPhone products after this morning's launch of the sixth-generation iPhone. The new line-up now includes the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.
The iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 are now available for $679 and $449 in Australia, respectively.
The iPhone 3GS was previously available in the US for free on a two-year contract - a position the iPhone 4 has now taken over, pushing the 3GS out of the line-up as a result.

The smartphone will retail in Australia from Apple for $799 for the 16GB model, $899 for 32GB and $999 for the 64GB model.
It is 4G compatible and will run on Australia's Telstra, Optus and Virgin Mobile 4G networks.
It is available for pre-order on September 14 from Apple and will start shipping to Australia on the 21st. The new iteration of Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS 6, will arrive on September 19.
