Rhipe has partnered with security software vendor Symantec to distribute its Endpoint Protection Cloud solution.
The security-as-a-service (SaaS) offering aims to protect small and medium businesses from targeted attacks and ransomware through a single cloud-based console for endpoint protection, management, mobility and encryption.
“Symantec is the global leader in security technology innovation, and is a leader in endpoint security,” Rhipe chief executive Dominic O’Hanlon said.
“[Symantec’s] solution offers comprehensive capabilities in a streamlined security-as-a-service offering that is ideal for our channel partners across Asia-Pacific.”
Rhipe chief strategy officer Chris Sharp said the solution would soon be available in all 18 markets across Asia-Pacific, initially focusing on Australia and New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
“Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud adds a vital layer of granular protection, particularly for those channel partners who are wanting to build their clouds — allowing them to build even more secure solutions for their customers,” Sharp said.
Edwin Yeo, Symantec vice president of channels and alliances for Asia-Pacific, said the partnership with Rhipe would help Symantec expand its outreach “significantly” and provide a solution to help keep the information of its small and medium business customers secure.
“Rhipe is one of the prominent cloud channel companies in Asia-Pacific and Symantec’s Integrated Cyber Defense Platform focuses on empowering the businesses to securely embrace the cloud,” Yeo said.
“Furthermore, the solution’s seamless and easy management will be a welcome relief for overstretched IT departments.”
In August, Rhipe posted its first net profit after tax in three years partly due to increased revenue and savings from a restructure and pushing Microsoft’s cloud solution provider licensing program.
