Telecoms, cloud and voice distributor Telarus has continued its move into the Australian market with the signing of Rackspace to its Australian and New Zealand cloud portfolio.
The deal sees Rackspace’s managed cloud solutions available for Telarus’ ANZ agent partners, resellers and managed service providers to take to market.
“Adding Rackspace to our portfolio was an easy decision,” said Tony Heywood, Telarus head of channel for ANZ.
“As a leading IT services provider, it brings reliable cloud solutions that are in high demand by our sales partners and their business customers. As a leader in the 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for public cloud infrastructure managed service providers, worldwide, Rackspace is a trusted brand that we can recommend with confidence. This trans-Pacific relationship will be instrumental in the success of our partners in this market.”
Rackspace regional partner leader for ANZ, Vicki Patten, said she welcomed Telarus’ assistance in the local marketplace.
“Both companies are known for offering cutting-edge technology and white-glove service,” she said. “Telarus is the perfect master agent to offer Rackspace flexible cloud infrastructure and applications to drive business value to their partners.”
Telarus in May signed a global partner agreement with the Australian subsidiary of unified communications vendor RingCentral, the disties first vendor partnership in its new region.
The distributor entered the Australian and New Zealand market earlier in 2018, appointing former AGC Networks country manager Heywood to spearhead the expansion.
Telarus, not to be confused with the eponymous Melbourne-based telco acquired by Over The Wire in 2016, specialises in providing data, voice, cloud, and contact centre services.
