Provider of cloud-based IT security and compliance solutions Qualys has announced the launch of TruRisk Eliminate at the famous Black Hat 2024 security conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
Qualys new offering aims to simplify how organisations approach vulnerability management and risk reduction.
TruRisk Eliminate extends beyond traditional patch management, providing a comprehensive suite of remediation tools.
The Qualys solution addresses a critical gap in cybersecurity strategies, offering alternatives when patching is not feasible or potentially disruptive to business operations.
"Although patching is an essential part of vulnerability management to mitigate risk, there are some use cases where it isn't possible, or doing so requires outages or downtime that can impact operations," Melinda Marks, practice director of cybersecurity at Enterprise Strategy Group said.
Some of the key features of TruRisk Eliminate include:
- TruRisk Mitigate: deploys advanced risk mitigation controls based on recommendations from vendors, CISA, and the Qualys Threat Research Unit.
- TruRisk Isolate: allows proactive quarantining of risky assets to prevent security incidents from spreading within networks.
- Integration with IT operations and ticketing workflows: reduces mean time to remediate by leveraging out-of-the-box integrations with popular IT service management tools.
- Rule-based workflow orchestration: Automates complex, multi-decision risk remediation tasks using the integrated Qualys Qflow capability.

TruRisk Eliminate's is billed as being able to mitigate nearly 100 per cent of the United States Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency Known Exploited Vulnerabilities and ransomware vulnerabilities.
This both with and without patching, and it could appeal to Australian businesses facing stringent compliance requirements and growing cyber threats.
Tru Risk Eliminate is set to be available from September 2024.
