QLD council hunts for new ERP solution

Queensland's Croydon Shire Council has released a tender for the provision, implementation, and ongoing support of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.

Croydon lies in Far North Queensland with a population of approximately 300 residents.

The council's existing financial management system is PRACTICAL from Practical Computer Services Pty Ltd/Civica.

Council is seeking to compare the market on best practice ERP systems to address current priorities.

These include aging software that impairs efficient planning, reporting, and transparency; improvements in digital access, budgeting and operational agility; and growing demand for more sophisticated financial governance and data-driven management.

Current staffing for Croydon is approx. 70 individuals, subject to seasonal work programmes.

The tender closes at 5pm on 15 April with an expected contract award date of 22 May.

In January, the council released a tender for both an MSP to deliver whole-of-IT services and a cyber security services provider.
