EMC former director's of sales strategy & transformation, Ben Goodman, has joined Pure Storage as director of channels for the AJP region.
New recruit Goodman will be responsible for Pure Storage’s channel ecosystem, including distribution and system integrators, and partner recruitment.
Goodman spent 12 years at EMC as its director of sales strategy and transformation for Asia-Pacific.
Michael Alp, Pure Storage vice president for AJP, said Goodman's channel expertise would be "invaluable in his new role, as Pure continues to rapidly grow with the support of a strong partner network across the region".
It is just the latest rejig to Pure Storage's local channel strategy. The vendor recently promoted country manager Nigel Peach to the role of director of alliances and systems integrators for AJP, and brought in former Southern Cross Computer Systems chief executive Mike Sakalas as country manager for ANZ.
More recently, Pure Storage appointed Distribution Central as its second local distributor.
