Biostar manufactures a variety of motherboards supporting both Intel and AMD processors and catering to consumers, gamers and the enthusiast market who seek high performance overclocking boards.
While Biostar enjoys healthy sales in Asia, Europe and America, the brand has limited exposure in Australia and New Zealand.
Gary Jeng, managing director of Protac, said the distribution partnership will help Biostar achieve greater penetration into the local market. He said Biostar's affordability, quality and a long warranty period will differentiate the boards from other manufacturers.
“Biostar is one of the top 6 motherboard manufacturer in the world, and in the last few years it has been concentrating on high performance motherboards," he said.
"It is a good time to introduce Biostar into Australia and New Zealand and let people know how good the quality of Biostar motherboards is."
The boards are available through Protac now.
