Progress ANZ has rehired Craig Law as managing director after 12 months with Software AG.
Law spent the past year as sales director of banking and capital markets at Software AG, following the vendor's acquisition of analytics platform Apama from Progress in 2013.
He said: "Making the decision to return was easy once I saw the work Progress is undertaking with our customers and our partners. For me, it’s about Progress giving our partners and customers the tools to stay one step ahead of the competition."
Stephen McNulty, vice president and managing director for Progress Asia Pacific, said: "Cloud, mobile, big data, and social networks are transforming the nature of business. In addition, business applications are fast becoming the new enterprise tool.
"Craig, more than anyone, understands how the ANZ market needs to harness these, and can provide the insight into how apps are transforming businesses."
Previous to working at Progress, Law was Oracle's vice president sales, retail applications, APJ.
