Proficio adds Sydney site and Brisbane reseller

One of the self-proclaimed fastest-growing managed security services providers in North America has signalled its entry into the Australian market.

Proficio has set up a Sydney office as well as signing Brisbane security provider Cloudport as a reseller.

The Californian firm has a 100 percent channel model and says partnerships will be "critical" to its Australian and New Zealand growth.

Proficio claims to have managed some of the "largest and most respected" security operation centres in America and Japan.

The company is backed by NRI Secure, which is a division of $2.6 billion Japanese IT consulting firm Nomura Research. NRI Secure provides services using AcSight, Imperva, Palto Alto Networks and other technologies.
