Wincor Nixdorf provides products to retailers and retail banks, globally. Its Beetle/mini bundle is the newest addition to its Beetle POS Family.
The Beetle/mini is bundled with matching peripherals, including; 15 inch LCD display; a customer display; thermal receipt printer; a cash drawer; and a keyboard/mouse.
Vik Devjee, director, sales and marketing at POS POS, told CRN, the design of the Beetle/mini has been optimised for small and medium sized retailers.
“The product uses an Intel Atom processor and runs Microsoft’s Windows embedded for POS operating system which is specifically designed for retail,” he said.
Devjee claimed for local resellers, the product offers compelling price points and solid margins.
“Based on the suggested RRP of $2195, we would expect resellers to make around 20 percent [margin] on the bundle,” he said.
“This could be lower based on volume and competitive discounts, if required.”
According to Devjee, the product bundle also includes a three-year on-site warranty and the distributor’s Professional Services’ infrastructure.
