Digital transformation company JourneyOne has been honoured with the prestigious Digital Transformation Visionary accolade at the Amazon Web Services Partner Forum held in Canberra, for a cloud-native smart grid solution for Incite Energy, on Norfolk Island

JourneyOne played a pivotal role in bringing Incite Energy's BESY Energy Platform to market, with a smart grid solution.

The project has yielded impressive results in less than a year, including a 20 per cent reduction in energy costs and a 30 per cent decrease in diesel usage on the island.

Incite Energy is a renewable energy innovator, and the JourneyOne solution aligns battery installers, grid operators and Norfolk Island residents.

It is a scalable, cloud-native, serverless solution on AWS that comes at a low cost for Incite Energy.

Chief technology officer Cristian Southall of JourneyOne said it was built rapidly, and the speed at which Incite Energy has seen the benefits from the solution is a testament to the development approach.

JourneyOne was founded in 2010 and aims to be a key player in Australia's business and technology sector, with over 120 consultants working on significant digital and artificial intelligence transformation projects.

The company's client portfolio includes notable names such as Neurotologix (winner of the 2023 WA Innovator of the Year Award), BHP, Navitas, Woodside, the Government of Bhutan, WA Department of Health, and Murdoch University.

JourneyOne was recognised on August 6 this year.
