ASX-listed virtualised network products vendor iWebGate has announced a partnership with Telstra to offer its products on the telco's infrastructure.
"Following significant investments and successful beta testing, iWebGate’s technology can now be automatically deployed over Telstra’s infrastructure," said iWebGate in its message to the ASX.
"iWebGate can provision certain solutions such as remote desktop access, secure proxies and Virtual Private Network (VPN), as a service from Telstra's cloud."
Perth-founded iWebGate also announced its Virtual Services Platform would be available through the Telstra Apps Marketplace.
Both initiatives allow iWebGate to "leverage opportunities through Telstra’s partners" and that 2015 revenues were expected to grow from the new arrangements.
iWebGate develops software solutions to allow virtual segregation of networks, connectivity and devices for security. The company has a stated mission to "re-imagine a world where firewalls and VPNs are not used as primary security and connectivity products within networks".
The vendor claims that its as-a-service products "empower" cloud and network providers to earn additional revenue and develop client relationships, in place of the traditional model of resellers and systems integrators implementing security for enterprise customers.
iWebGate was established in 2004 but now operates its global operations out of the USA. The company is led by chief executive Tim Gooch, a University of Western Australia alumnus.
