Panasonic Australia has appointed Sektor as a distributor for its Toughpad ruggedised tablets and Toughbook ruggedised laptops.
Toughpads and Toughbooks are aimed at military, utility, industry, and emergency service field work. There are two models in the Toughpad range, the Fz-G1 and the FZ-M1. The Toughbook range has four models: the CF-53, CF-19, CF-31 and CF-C2.
Panasonic product marketing manager Jason Lee said the Toughbooks' sales growth has opened it up to new markets.
“A key pillar of our continued strategy for growth is to collaborate with our distribution and channel partners to deliver solutions for customers in key vertical markets. We look forward to working with Sektor in delivering this,” said Lee.
Sektor distributes for a number of rugged tablet vendors such as HP, Toshiba, and Zebra.
As part of the deal, Sektor will no longer distribute with specialist rugged device vendor Durabook.
The Toughpad and Toughbook ranges are also distributed in Australia through long-time Panasonic partner Multimedia Technlogy.
