ISP Pacific Internet has formalised its channel program for Asia-Pacific partners selling its MPLS network product.
The secure connectivity product - released in October last year - allows companies to create a VPN for communication across multiple sites throughout the region.
A feature of the new program would be a joint Cisco and Pacific Internet accreditation called ‘Securing the SMB’.
Designed in conjunction with Cisco security experts - the accreditation aims to improve the way partners design, sell and service security nteworks running on Cisco hardware, Pacific Internet said.
Partners would also have a personal account manager, priority hotline for technical support and regular training forums under the program.
In a marketing ploy, Pacific Internet replaced the standard Gold, Silver and Brronze certification tiers, chosing to use Dragon, Tiger and Phoenix tiers to reflect its "Asia Pacific reach."
Dennis Muscat, Pacific Internet Australia’s managing director, said the company had 265 partners and expected to have more than 400 by year's end.
"The company is increasingly relying on its partners to contribute revenues in Australia," he said.
