Former MD of Oracle A\NZ, Brian Mitchell will head up operations of Oracle Asia Pacific, excluding Japan.
In a series of changes to its management team, the first in fifteen years, Mitchell will take over the day-to-day duties from Derek Williams who will become chairman of Oracle Asia Pacific and Japan.
Brian Mitchell’s management team includes senior vice president Mark Gibbs for applications sales, senior vice president Nick Evered for technology sales, senior vice president Harry Storer for consulting and vice president Bronwyn Hastings for alliances and channels.
Mitchell said his new role as senior VP APAC, extends his existing responsibilities in strategic acquisitions, business strategy & planning, and management of Oracle country offices, to also directing day-to-day operations for the region.
He previously held the position of managing director, Oracle Australia and New Zealand from December 2000-2004. He joined Oracle in January 1998 in the position of Regional Director of Sales & Marketing.
