Optus has launched business grade NBN services, including VPN, internet, direct line and voice.
The new services are available now in existing Optus infrastructure and NBN service areas, with committed data speeds and a choice of asymmetrical or symmetrical plans.
NBN services will complement Optus' existing network infrastructure and will offer more choice, particularly in regional areas, said Optus Business managing director John Paitaridis.
Optus is pitching business grade NBN for applications like video conferencing, wide area networks and cloud services.
The carrier revealed in June that it had won nearly $700 million in ICT deals in the previous year. Beyond access, the company’s activities span contact centres, unified communications, security among other areas.
In the year to 30 June, NBN Co reported the number of premises that could order NBN services grew to 553,000.
