Optus has confirmed it suffered a "major network outage" impacting international websites and gaming platforms this week.
The telco did not reveal the cause of the issue but said it had since been resolved as of about 2pm yesterday.
“Optus is continuing to test and monitor performance following an overnight issue that affected some customer access to some international internet, streaming and gaming services,” the company said in a statement.
“We are pleased to report that access to those platforms and websites remains stable, however, we encourage customers to contact us if they have other issues they require assistance with.”
Issues started appearing early on 22 May, with a number of users taking to Twitter to report the disruption:
Looks like your having some issues on a very infrastructure level. Having connection issues with GW2, and so are others. Also istheservice down has increased issues from your end. pic.twitter.com/PuLzdDUz3r
