NSW Telco Authority seeks IT partners

The NSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) is seeking IT partners to help create a price guide for emerging satellite connectivity products and services to be used across the state.

The NSWTA is a delivery agency with responsibility for over $1.5 billion in key NSW government projects that connect communities and support emergency services.

In an expression of interest published on 19 March 2024, NSWTA stated that comprehensive network connectivity across NSW is required to run the agency's programs as well as those of emergency service organisations and multiple state government agencies.

The price guide will provide a summary of emerging satellite connectivity products and services that can:

  • Provide connectivity remotely where community and or government agencies' needs are on the pause or on the move.

  • Provide a satellite service with highly secure transmission of data that uses encryption protocols and authentication measures.

  • Enable real-time transmission of data, including transactional data and high-definition video streaming.

  • Facilitate the capture and transportation of sensing and telemetry data for Internet of Things devices.

The expression of interest will close on 16 April 2024.
