Integrator NSC Enterprise Solutions has won a $500,000 contract to upgrade communications infrastructure at Australian office equipment distributor Danka.
The rollout would see NSC install Avaya IP telephony technology, 370 digital handsets, Avaya call centre software and larger WAN bandwidth, NSC said in a statement.
Danka claimed the rollout would save it 30 percent on communications expenses.
It would be completed over the next 60 days. 'We are currently using a phone system that is 12 to 18 years old and efficiently transferring calls between our offices is a real challenge,' said Steve Farrimond, South Australian sales manager at Danka.
'Call centre supervisors have been chaffing at the bit as the deployment will help them manage and train their call centre agents as well as provide centralised reporting.
'It will also more effectively monitor call queues to prevent time frame blowouts while managing inbound call trends,' he said.
