NFP healthcare provider on the hunt for MSP services

The Healthy Communities Foundation Australia (THCFA), a not-for-profit primary healthcare provider, is inviting proposals for the provision of managed IT services.

The selected provider will be required to provide 24x7 helpdesk support for all systems; data backup and recovery services; cyber security support; and cyber and data security awareness training.

The Foundation is currently operating at Essential Eight Level One security, on a transition pathway to Level Two.

The provider will also be responsible for network management and maintenance; on premise and Azure data centre hosted server management and maintenance; software updates and patch management; support for company endpoints (desktops and laptops); asset and lifecycle management; and MS Azure cloud infrastructure, licensing and backups.

Strategic engagement and planning services required including a minimum of twice-yearly account management meetings, along with the development and maintenance of a three-year roadmap.

THCFA primarily uses the Microsoft 365 platform for all staff, 85% of whom work remotely. SharePoint is actively used for document management and managed by a third party.

The organisation's three clinical services business units each have their own server infrastructure and a separate instance each of Best Practice, while Cubiko is utilised for reporting and the endpoints are primarily Surface Pros.

The Foundation is planning to extend, expand and augment the range of EMR and other operational software platforms used over the next three years – including new EMR platforms appropriate for allied health delivery and management.

The proposed contract term is 36 months.

The tender closes on 4 November 2025 and contract commencement is expected on 1 February 2026.
