Newcastle's BISCit wins international innovation award from Epicor

A project with an Australian electric car company has earned Newcastle's Business Information Systems Consulting and IT (BISCit) an award from ERP software vendor Epicor.

The awards were handed out at the vendor's 2017 Partner Excellence Awards in Dubai, as part of the annual Epicor Momentum Partner Conference.

BISCit was honoured with the Business Transformation Award for developing a web store for EMC Electric Vehicles, which is backed by advanced engineering and manufacturing firm Varley Group. Through their efforts, sales of electric cars can now be completed in about five minutes, while also providing information on parts, servicing and financing.

BISCit also bagged the Technology Innovator award for developing a logistics management mobile app and a rental management module. The latter was developed for the equipment hire industry, allowing clients to procure, commission, hire, and maintain their fleet of rentals more efficiently. Epicor’s ERP technology is fully integrated for both offerings.

BISCit has been recognised by Epicor in the past, receiving the international award for Outstanding Commitment in 2016.

“Our international partners are a fundamental part of our business,” said Epicor executive vice president, international Sabby Gill. “We consider these award winners ‘Grow Getters’ as they have not only excelled in growing their business through innovation using Epicor technology, but also enabled their customers to grow.”
