UK-based security vendor Sophos said it has completed its acqusition of NASDAQ-listed Secureworks, backed by venture capitalist firm Thoma Bravo.
The deal was first announced in October last year.
Dell, which has sought to divest loss-making Secureworks in the past, paid US$612 million for the company in 2011.
Sophos said that with the acquisition, it is now the leading pure-play provider of managed detection and respose (MDR) cybersecurity services, supporting more than 28,000 organisations worldwide.
Separately, security vendor Arctic Wolf said it had closed the acqusition of Blackberry's Cylance endpoint security assets.
Arctic Wolf said it will integrate Cylance's artificial intelligence drive capabilities into its Aurora Endpoint Security.
The Canada-based security vendor announced that it would sell Cylance on December 15 last year.
Blackberry bought Cylance in 2018, for US$1.4 billion.
It will now receive US$160 million from Arctic Wolf, with US$80 million payable at closing, and the rest in a tranche in a year's time.
Blackberry will also receive 5.5 million shares in Arctic Wolf, which are currently trading for US$7.75 a piece.
