ISP Netspace is working through the Tasmanian NBN Co master services agreement (MSA) as it continues its quest to achieve reseller status for phase one of the next-generation network.
Netspace regulatory and carrier affairs manager Matthew Phillips said lawyers for both TNBN Co and Netspace were working to iron out the agreement over the coming week.
"We've completed interworking testing in Melbourne. It's now just a matter of working through the master services agreement, the contractual stuff - a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with the lawyers," Phillips said.
"We plan to be a retail service provider as soon as the network is available to us."
Netspace was one of two ISPs to confirm they would seek accreditation from TNBN Co to resell broadband services to customers of stage one of the fibre network in Tasmania.
Tasmanian NBN Co earlier announced Internode, iiNet and iPrimus as the first resellers accredited to provide internet services to 5,000 households that are part of the phase one network build.
Exetel was the other ISP to have confirmed interest in becoming a reseller.
Netspace was acquired last week by Perth ISP iiNet for $40 million but will continue to operate as a separate entity and is seeking reseller accreditation on its own terms.
