NetApp has appointed tech veteran Jim Burke to take helm of enterprise sales for Australia and New Zealand. at the data infrastructure company.
Burke was most recently the senior director of sales and general manager of Juniper Networks, and prior to that, the regional sales manager of Dimension Data.
He has also held senior roles at telcos Telstra, Vodafone and Spark New Zealand.
Based in Sydney, Burke will aim to help organisations improve their data management capabilities across public and private sectors.
The appointment signals NetApp's push to expand its enterprise customer base in the region.
"We are taking the conversation about data from the engine room of the IT Team to the boardroom", Burke, who brings 25 years of technology sector experience to the newly created role, said.
"NetApp is at the forefront of data innovation, and I'm thrilled to lead our enterprise team in delivering transformative solutions", Burke said.
The role focuses on helping organisations adapt to evolving market demands through better data management.
