Local distributor NatComp has agreed to distribute a range of 17 inch to 32 inch LCD monotirs manufactured by Chinese company Great Wall.
Great Wall manufactures desktop PCs, notebooks and LCD monitors for many brands such as IBM/Lenovo and Hong Kong-based TCL.
NatComp will begin offering the Great Wall LCD monitors which use Samsung panels this month. The monitors ship with a three-year warranty. The distributor intends to introduce Great Wall's notebook range to the market in early 2007.
Fabio Grassia, managing director at NatComp took on Great Wall distribution due to the high number of dealer requests for the brand.
“In the last 12 months, our resellers have been requesting us for an alternative brand due to market shortages and poor quality," he said in a statement.
Grassia said the distributor intends to market the Great Wall range through its dealer channel, mass retail chains, electrical appliance stores and large superstores.
