MYOB has hired a former Synnex and Data#3 manager Tony Weller for a new channel partner manager role in its Brisbane office.
Weller has extensive channel experience, spending more than five years as an account manager at Data#3 until 2010, according to LinkedIn. He then spent two years at Synnex as a business development manager in the commercial unit.
Prior to that, Weller worked at ASI Solutions for more than 11 years, in roles including account support manager and quality assurance officer.
His most recent role was as IT channel business development manager at UPS supplier Eaton.
CRN understands Weller joined MYOB a month ago. The position is channel partner manager in the accountants division, which a spokesperson said is a new role. He will work in MYOB's Brisbane office, where the accounting software vendor has been expanding its team.
Weller is one of many channel managers at MYOB, which has managers within each division according to a spokesperson. The general manager of the accountants division is Adam Ferguson.
