The displays can be used for message boards, video conferencing, emergency operations or retail kiosks.
Designed and built as Public Information Displays and Digital Signage applications, the screens offer high-definition picture and video quality.
According to Matthew Hanna product manager Visual Information Systems (VIS) division, Mitsubishi Electric Australia, the release of the new Mitsubishi Electric LCD displays has the potential to open up the digital signage and public display market for resellers.
“Compared with consumer LCD TVs, our commercial LCD displays are specifically designed for use in digital signage and public display, and are ideal for places such as shop fronts, office foyers, public arcades and museums,” he said.
“If a customer contacts the reseller looking for a product for this type of application, the reseller can offer one of our displays and be reassured that the product is perfect for the job.
“Resellers who choose to sell our products will also find we offer better margins as opposed to consumer LCD models, and they will experience less competition in the commercial market compared to the domestic,” he added.
The LDT521V has a 52-inch diagonal display that can be used in either landscape or portrait mode. The 65-inch diagonal display LDT651 is only available separately in Landscape (LDT651L) or Portrait (LDT651P) models.
Other features include a power save function, screen-saving functions and a power on delay which means that when all the screens are linked they will switch on one at a time over 50 seconds to reduce electrical overload.
