Microsoft has indefinitely postponed its annual Ignite conference in New Zealand, the latest in a series of shake-ups to the vendor's global conference calendar.
The vendor didn't provide further detail on the reason for postponing the event, or when a future event would be held.
"We appreciate that many of you look forward to Ignite as much as we do, and this decision was not taken lightly," Microsoft wrote in a Facebook post.
"Microsoft is committed to all our partners and customers and, as many of you will be aware, we are pivoting our business to be more customer and partner focussed than ever before."
The conference is geared towards all IT professionals and developers working with Microsoft products across the entire IT landscape.
The last Ignite conference in New Zealand was held in Auckland in October 2016 and featured keynote session from Windows Insider program lead Dona Sarkar, senior program manager, DevOps Donovan Brown and principal software development manager Jennifer Marsman.
It comes as part of Microsoft's attempts to consolidate its calendar of events across the globe to become more inclusive for partners and customers.
In June, Microsoft revealed it would do away with its Australian Partner Conference after 20 years in favour of a new conference for customers, partners and developers called Microsoft Summit.
Microsoft renamed its global Worldwide Partner Conference to 'Microsoft Inspire' this year, and changed the name of TechEd to 'Microsoft Ignite' in 2015.
