Fitzroy IT has secured investment from technology entrepreneur Duncan Journee and appointed a new head of sales as it strengthens partnerships with major cloud providers.

The Melbourne-based IT services provider will use the investment to enhance its service offerings and grow its technical team while deepening collaborations with Amazon Web Services and Datadog.

"Fitzroy IT has an exceptional reputation for client-focused IT solutions," Journee said.

Journee is Fitzroy IT's director of growth since October 2024, and runs the Murrum consultancy.

He previously scaled IT consultancies ICE Systems, now Cevo, a CRN Austrial 2024 finalist, and Clade Solutions.

"By intensifying our engagement with AWS and Datadog, we're ensuring that our clients have access to best-in-class cloud, monitoring, and security solutions," Tim Jenkinson, founder and chief executive officer of Fitzroy IT said.

Meanwhile, Jacob Hicks joins the company as head of sales, bringing extensive experience in enterprise technology sales and strategic partnerships to drive customer acquisition.

"Jacob's proven track record in sales leadership and client engagement makes him an ideal fit for Fitzroy IT," Jenkinson said.

The company specialises in cloud solutions, AWS consulting, and observability services, focusing on helping Australian businesses optimise performance and enhance security through cloud infrastructure.

Journee's investment will support rapid expansion while maintaining the company's focus on delivering tailored, high-quality services to clients seeking to modernise their technology infrastructure..
