Melbourne-based MSP techENVY has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS).
ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard that specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an AIMS within organisations. It is designed for entities providing or utilising AI-based products or services, ensuring responsible development and use of AI systems.
It addresses the unique challenges AI poses, such as ethical considerations, transparency, and continuous learning, and sets out a structured way to manage risks and opportunities associated with AI.
The certification formally recognises techENVY’s approach to governing, managing, and using AI responsibly across its full lifecycle.
"This certification reflects our commitment to helping growing organisations move beyond experimentation to adopt AI in a way that supports scale, compliance, and long-term trust with their customers, partners, and internal teams," the company said in a post on LinkedIn.
"For our clients, this means AI initiatives that stand up to scrutiny, align with business and regulatory expectations, and can be trusted as their organisations grow."
techENVY provides managed IT services, managed cyber security, cloud computing and business internet and voice, primarily working with small to medium-sized businesses.
KPMG Australia became the first organisation globally to achieve ISO 420001 certification for artificial intelligence management from BSI Australia in October 2024.
