MessageMedia has expanded its executive team “in response to the increasing demand for business SMS and technology solutions”.
The business mobile messaging provider has appointed Andrew Mumford to the new position of chief sales officer.
Mumford previously served as regional sales director at Mulesoft, and comes from a sales, marketing and consulting management background.
He has been made responsible for leading MessageMedia’s global sales, channel and marketing operations, as well as accelerating its global growth.
Mumford will report to founder Grant Rule and the rest of the MessageMedia board.
The expansion of the executive leadership team follows a period of rapid business development, supported by the escalating innovations in SMS and business messaging solutions, according to MessageMedia.
Rule said Mumford’s appointment would accelerate the company’s investment in next-generation technology to drive rapid product and sales innovation
“With over 15 years’ experience in the IT sector, Andrew Mumford is a leading business and technology-based sales executive, who will contribute significantly to MessageMedia Group’s expansion in the industry globally,” Rule said.
