Reseller mcr Computer Resources has bagged a deal to provide SurfControl's content filtering technology to 4000 users at massive consultancy Ernst & Young.
Under the deal, mcr will deploy SurfControl's Web Filter and Email Filter software at the company.
The deal follows several content filtering wins for mcr this year, including John Fairfax and the National Australia Bank, the company said.
Mcr product manager Scott Thomas said SurfControl's ability to offer enterprises web and email filtering in one package was a clear strength in an increasingly competitive market.
Charles Heunemann, MD at SurfControl, added that mcr's recent wins were indicative of the growth in SurfControl's channel business over the past 18 months.
He said that Australia had surpassed other SurfControl global operations in channel development and had its sights on pushing more than 70 percent of its invoicing through channel partners.
IDC forecasts a compound annual global growth rate of 30 percent in the content filtering market over the next five years.
