Taylor, who was the 1999 Australian of the Year, will act as the face of SAP in forums and events into next year. He will play an active role assisting SAP in various marketing, training and motivational initiatives.
Taylor will work at engaging the business community through a series of leadership discussions centred around themes including innovation, teamwork and achieving excellence.
Tim Ebbeck, president and CEO for Australia and New Zealand, said Taylor’s proven record of leadership success made him an ideal spokesperson for the company.
“We are delighted to have Mark on board with SAP in Australia and New Zealand. With his track record for leading high-performance teams, we believe Mark offers a unique perspective on leadership for small, midsize and large organisations operating in increasingly competitive and dynamic markets,” he said.
Ebbeck added that the parallels between Taylor’s success on the field and SAP’s achievements in the business software market will enable the company to add value and connect with customers, prospects and staff.
Mark Taylor said he is looking forward to working with SAP’s staff and customers in the coming months.
“SAP’s values of integrity, innovation, best practice and the pursuit of excellence mirror my own beliefs as to how to succeed – be it on the sports field, in business or in life. I am excited to be an SAP corporate ambassador and have teamwork with SAP customers and employees.”
