Zoho's IT management software division ManageEngine has appointed Bluechip Infotech as its master distributor for Australia.
The deal is a realignment of an existing relationship and will see ManageEngine’s existing partners and distributors consolidated under Bluechip. CRN understands the deal means Integralis and Bellridge, among others, now have a lesser relationship with ManageEngine.
“We are looking to increase sales in Australia in 2019 and consolidation of our distribution network to Bluechip Infotech is the key part of that overall growth strategy,” ManageEngine vice president of sales Promoth Kumar said in a statement.
“Expanding our channel focus to reach more SMB and enterprise customers with Bluechip Infotech and its channel network of managed service providers will help us accelerate growth moving forward.”
ManageEngine offers enterprise IT management software to help customers monitor their IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, applications and desktops.
Bluechip head of marketing and alliances Willy Harsono told CRN that ManageEngine sought a distributor that could deliver the whole solution from start to finish, including pre-and-post-sales.
"[ManageEngine] needed distribution partners who are very strong in the channel, and someone who is invested in its portfolio," Harsono said.
"They had a lot of partners who aren't delivering a lot of net new business for [ManageEngine], and aren't capable to deliver the end-to-end capabilities."
Harsono said the commercial agreement was reached last year, with Bluechip helping to build a new registration process where new deals come in through the distie's channel partners. Bluechip also brought in new staff, including product managers and pre-sales consultants in NSW and Victoria, and is expecting hire more.
Parent company Zoho Corporation is known for web-based business tools like its office tools suite, IoT management platform, in addition to the ManageEngine IT management software.
Bluechip managing director Johnson Hsiung said, “The realignment will allow us to further invest in ManageEngine and to grow their channel network in Australia.
“In addition, ManageEngine portfolio will strengthen our overall offering in the ICT service management (ITSM), ITOM, cloud, security, endpoint management and reinforce both our position and ability to service Australian businesses and consumers.”
