Managed service provider Logicals has Cisco Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) as a managed service, expanding its ability to hunt for cyber threats globally.
Advanced artificial intelligence and worldwide threat data power the new Cisco offering, which forms part of Logicalis' recently unveiled Intelligent Security portfolio.
The service operates through Logicalis' network of Security Operations Centres (SOCs), providing round-the-clock threat monitoring for clients.
Recent investments include a 30 per cent expansion of security talent at its European centre, responding to rising demand for managed protection services.
Continuous monitoring and rapid response capabilities form core elements of the new offering.
"We're extremely proud to be the first partner offering Cisco MXDR globally", said Toby Alock, chief technology officer at Logicalis said.
"We are very excited about the value Cisco and Logicalis are able to bring to our shared customers", Andrew Sage, vice president of global partners and distribution sales at Cisco said.
Logicalis also maintains a unique position among Microsoft partners, achieving verified Global MXDR Partner status.
A new Cybersecurity Academy in Lisbon, run with Cisco and local educational institutions, aims to develop security expertise internally.
"The implementation of the EMEA SOC in Portugal is a recognition of the excellence of our local operations", says João Martins, chief executive officer of Logicalis Portugal.
Recent research highlights the growing need for such services, with 83 per cent of technology leaders reporting cyber attacks in the past year.
With the new service, Logicalis seeks to help organisations defend against cyber threats despite a worldwide shortage of security specialists.
Logicalis Australia picked up Platinum Innovator status with security vendor Palo Alto Networks earlier this month.
